They say absence makes the heart grow fonder, but that couldn't be further from the truth when it comes to Emily VanCamp and Josh Bowman.
Despite working alongside each other on a daily basis as they shoot action-packed ABC drama Revenge, the co-stars seemed to be more in love than ever as they took a break from filming to grab a bite to eat on Wednesday.
The couple, who turned their on-screen relationship to a real-life romance in late 2011, couldn't seem to take their eyes off each other as they stepped out in Los Feliz, California, for a late afternoon lunch.

Gazing into each other's eyes, the pair looked happy and relaxed as they made the most of a break in their hectic schedules with a romantic stroll in the winter sunshine.

 

Emily, 26, looked worlds away from her preened to perfection Revenge alter-ego Emily Thorne, opting for a casual navy and white striped jersey top and skinny jeans, which highlighted her long, lean legs.
The actress completed her look with a pair of khaki Keds and Ray Ban wayfarer sunglasses, while keeping her blonde locks scraped back off her face.

Appearing to go make-up free, the star showed off her naturally flawless skin and perfect complexion.
British actor Josh, 24, opted for a similarly casual approach to his wardrobe, wearing berry-coloured chinos, a simple black V-neck T-shirt and a khaki coat.
Emily recently admitted she feels at her best when she's away from the red carpet looking natural, and it would seem Josh agrees.

She told Women's Health magazine: 'I’m at my most confident when I’m in nature and I don’t have to dress up. When I take off my makeup, that’s my boyfriend’s favorite.
'And that, to me, is a symbol of a great guy - someone who doesn’t care about all that stuff. It’s more about accepting each other as separate people. That’s the fundamental that I try to approach a relationship with.
'Laugh a lot and be really delicate with the other person’s heart, because sometimes you start to take each other for granted.

In contrast to her glamorous, butt-kicking Revenge alter-ego, Emily seems to prefer the simpler things in life; earlier this week, she tweeted a picture of a large fish she appeared to have caught on a sea-fishing trip.
Writing alongside the snap, she said: 'Dinner for tonight!'
Last month, the Revenge cast were seen shooting scenes for the wedding between Amanda and Jack (Margarita Levieva and Nick Wechsler) on Redondo Beach.

Discussing why the show has proved so popular, Emily recently told GQ: 'I think revenge is a universal theme. It's fun to delve into the lives of the rich and beautiful people of the Hamptons.
‘I always feel like I'm playing a character when I'm in a beautiful dress, with my hair coiffed. I like getting down and dirty. It's really fun.
'There's nothing better than setting an a**hole's house on fire. It's those moments when I think "I love my job!"'
