But the incident didn't appear to have ruffled Rihanna who looked happy and relaxed poolside in an unknown destination on Monday.
The busy pop star tweeted a photograph of herself smiling and lying on a lounger in the sunshine.

The business minded star was taking the opportunity to model one of her designs for British clothing chain River Island.
'I know you want my cropped knot tank #RIHforRiverIsland,' she wrote while showing off her taut tummy.
The star teamed the top with layers of gold necklaces, baggy black trousers and black and white pumps, along with a trapstar hat.

She seemed particularly proud of the patterned cap, which she wore backwards, later posting a black and white picture of it.

Just 48 hours earlier, Rihanna was left bleeding on a night out in London when she was 'bottled' by a crazed fan who 'screamed at her about Chris Brown'.
The Bajan singer ended her night at The Box nightclub with a cut knee after being 'assaulted' by the stranger, who hurled abuse at her regarding her union with Brown, outside the exclusive nightspot.

According to eye-witnesses, the injury came after the unidentified fan threw a bottle of energy drink Lucozade at the singer, before flinging a stream of insults about her on-off boyfriend.
In the commotion, Rihanna fell against a shop shutter and grazed her knee.
The injury was deemed serious enough for her to require immediate medical attention, according to Media Take Out.

The 24-year-old emerged from trendy venue The Box linking arms with her best friend Melissa Forde and British model Cara Delevingne.
The singer was in the capital for London Fashion Week where she presented her first clothing collection for high street clothing chain River Island.
She also seemed to be stumbling down the street but rather than perhaps going overboard with her alcohol consumption, her wobbling may have been down to her tricky footwear.
The stylish pair were also joined by Rihanna’s childhood friend Melissa, who revealed the party didn’t end there on her Instagram page.
She posted images of herself with Cara and model Jourdan Dunn relaxing on a sofa in a picture which she tagged them as a ‘clique’ and referred to it as the ‘afterparty’.

Earlier, the star had wowed style critics as she presented her first range for River Island earlier that evening.

While the collection appeared to be a hit with fashionistas, Rihanna ensured she gained full marks in the sartorial stakes too, wearing a figure-hugging teal dress to take to the stage.
