You'd think wrong; because the star shopped up a storm with husband Adam Shulman in New York on Friday.
With her value set to soar even more thanks to her star turn in Les Miserables, Anne clearly isn't letting any of it go to her head.

With temperatures low and a biting wind blowing, it was the kind of day for curling up beside the fire.
But with an energetic dog in the household Hathaway and husband Shulman had no choice but to pull on their warmest clothes and head outside.
The couple huddled inside their layers as they walked Esmerelda together, but later braved the cold to hit the shops.

Anne hid beneath a furry Russian-style hat which is sure to be fake - with the committed vegan only ever wearing imitation leather and fur, even on film sets.
The animal lover, 30, kept her hands cosy in a pair of puppy-dog mittens, with a plain black scarf wrapped around her neck.
It has been a good Christmas for Anne, who saw her new movie break box office records when it opened on Christmas Day.

Universal Pictures' star-studded Les Miserables took in a weekday record of $18.2 million in the United States and Canada when it opened on Tuesday, according to studio estimates of weekday ticket sales.

And with critics loving the movie as much as audiences things are set to get even better for Anne - who is hotly tipped for an Oscar.
In fact she is already gathering plaudits, with a nomination for the Best Supporting Female Actor Award award for her part in the film by the Screen Actors Guild.

Meanwhile her personal life is also going swimmingly, with Anne and Adam celebrating their first Christmas as a married couple.
Anne, who plays Fantine in the upcoming movie, reacted to the news saying: 'What an honor and a thrill to get love from my fellow actors.
'I couldn't feel happier or prouder to be in this cast - special congratulations to Hugh! Vive Les Mis! and all the SAG nominees!'
