Doing what she does best: Leona Lewis pulls out all the power ballad stops in Lovebird video

Think of Leona Lewis and you imagine a beautiful ballad.
And the 27-year-old has gone back to her roots for her latest single Lovebird, even down to the use of a wind machine in the video.
Full of pleading looks, colourful outfits and, perhaps unsurprisingly, dark moody lights and a bird cage, Leona's latest offering is the second single from her third album Glassheart.

Leona, who has revealed she is not dating One Direction's Liam Payne, slips into two different outfits for the video and embraced her flirty side with colourful make-up and inviting eye shadow with a diamond finish.
Her single, who coincidentally is released just as X Factor comes to an end and just weeks after rumours of her dating a younger man were briefly encourgaed, makes use of Leona's strong vocals.
Eva Cassidy famously sang about a Songbird but Leona Lewis has gone one better and become a Lovebird for her latest single.

Unsurprisingly the 27-year-old later climbs in a birdcage for her video and complete with her trademark long ponytail the X Factor winner looks positively at home in the virtual prison.
Wearing an ivory sleeved dress the singer looked positively mournful, a look which suits the often plain faced Leona.
Her full skirt and pinched look gave the video a definite dark side, which suited the Bleeding Love singer down to a tee.

Recorded over the last two years between Denver, London and Los Angeles with executive producer Fraser T Smith, Leona worked with some of the best songwriters and producers around, including: Emeli Sandé, Naughty Boy, Ina Wroldsen, Bonnie McKee, Jörgen Elofsson, Ryan Tedder, Autumn Rowe, Ammo and Rodney Jerkins.
Lovebird is written by Bonnie McKee, who has famously worked with Katy Perry, Britney Spears, Taio Cruz, Rita Ora, Joshua Coleman and Lukasz Gottwald.
Pop star Leona Lewis has attacked women in the music industry for acts that 'verge on porn' and said female artists should 'have some self-respect'.
Demure Leona recently attacked her compatriots for allowing themselves to be 'sexually objectified'.
