'I haven't seen him in years': Miley Cyrus denies meeting with ex Nick Jonas for lunch... then curiously deletes tweet

But while Miley Cryus may now be engaged to Liam Hemsworth, the actress has set tongues wagging after deleting a tweet where she denied having met up with her former flame for lunch.
On Wednesday the 20-year-old former Hannah Montana star insisted on Twitter that she hadn't seen the Jonas Brothers star 'in years' - but curiously removed the post a few hours later.

'I literally haven't seen Nick Jonas in years,' tweeted the singer. 'Don't believe everything you read folks.'

The star was responding to reports that she and her ex-boyfriend had eaten lunch together at Paty's in Los Angeles on Tuesday.

She angrily tweeted: 'Why are magazines allowed to publish straight bull sh*t. Look at my profile pic. Look at my finger. Idiots. I couldn't have "ran" into anyone because I haven't went to eat out in public in weeks because of the amount of paparazzi outside my house. #shorthairrapunzel.'
But a few hours later, the pop star deleted both tweets, declaring:

'FOCUSED ON MUSIC & MUSIC ALONE.'

She appears to be keeping to her word after she was snapped entering a Hollywood recording studio on Thursday.

The rumours started when a fan tweeted on Tuesday: 'Miley cyrus was at paty’s with nick Jonas like 10 mins ago. So cool.'

Hollywoodlife.com claims Miley and Nick did dine out - but that the lunch was purely platonic.

'[There was] absolutely no romantic vibe at all, at any time while they ate and while they were there,' a source told the website.
'It seemed more like a meeting than a friendly chit chat or get together - it was a more serious tone, based on their demeanour. They seemed to be having a business meeting - they were on their phones and then they left without incident.'

The actor was apparently unimpressed by Nick Jonas' 2012 song Wedding Bells, which was rumoured to be about Miley.

Meanwhile, Miley continues to wear her engagement ring despite rumours that she and Liam have split up.

Her fiance arrived back in Los Angeles from a month-long trip in Australia and the Philippines on Wednesday after he allegedly needed a 'break' from Miley.

But the 24-year-old was snapped outside Miley's home on Saturday, suggesting the wedding is still on.
